25 Weeks

Well I just wrote this big long blog and guess what....I lost it! So this post may not be as good, but I will try.

It's nice to finally say that the time I left of this pregnancy is way less than how far along I am. Just a short 13-15 weeks until we meet our little one. In about 2 weeks I'll be in the 3rd trimester already.

Tim's brother is picking up our crib and mattress this week for us. He'll be delivering it on Saturday and I can't wait to put it together. I have tons of random items in our nursery, but have been holding off putting anything on the walls or in it's place until the crib came in.

We also went and registered today at Babies R Us. I give much credit to Tim for being so helpful. He was pulling strollers and car seats off the shelves for us to test. He also got to scan the items so that helped keeping him involved. It took us just over 2 hours to register which wasn't to bad considering we had no idea what we were doing. We'll also be registering at Target soon.

Appointment update

Yesterday was my 24 week appointment and all went well. Babies heartrate was 150 bpm. He actually kicked the dr. and his face lit up like a little school girl. Now I'm sure that's not the first time that has happened. I gained a whoppin 6 lbs last month, but he said that is normal considering how much I grew. He still continues to call me petite so that makes me happy. He said the normal weight gain from here on out is 3-4 lbs a month. I figure if I go at that rate then I'll only gain 25 lbs total. I'de be ok with that.

We attened the Baby Care Basics class last night too. It wasn't anything special, but fairly informative. We learned about all the vaccinations babies get and what they do with the baby right after it is born. Then we practiced swaddling, bathing and burping doll babies. Afterwards we got a tour of the rooms where delivery will happen. Tim feels much more comfortable now because he was so worried he wouldn't know where to go on the big day. The rooms are huge and include a pull out couch, flat screen tv, ipod hookup, dvd, fridge and jetted showers. I have my glucose test in 3 weeks (which I thought was going to happen this past appt) and then I'm in every 2 weeks after that. WOW!!

6 Months

Wow a lot has happened in a week. First of all I've reached my V-Day (Viability Day) which means if the baby was born today the doctors would try and save him. Don't worry I've had a talk with him and he's pretty comfy in there for another 14-16 weeks or so.

Tim finally felt the baby move on Saturday. His face lit up and it was great. Now he wants to feel it all of the time. My mom also got to feel him and he was really kicking for her. His kicking pattern is becoming more regular now. Usually it always happens when I'm relaxed and reclined in a chair.

Here is Hugo fetching a stick up north. He loved the water. We had a great weekend for weather and I finally got some sun.

Bachelorette Party & 23 weeks

This past weekend I was at my soon to be sister in law's bachelorette party back home. Thank goodness I had my n/a bottles (yes I said bottles) of wine so I felt like part of the crew. It was a great shower and fun night. Some pictures are below.

As far as baby stuff goes we got our bedding in the mail last week. Now we're just waiting for the crib and mattress to come in so we can set it all up. Baby is kicking quite a bit. Having troubles having Tim feel him because the kicks are so inconsistent and short. It will happen soon though.

Playing tippy cup with my n/a wine.

Happy Mother's Day & 22 Weeks

First of all I want to wish all of the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day, especially to my mom and Tim's mom. Hard to believe that I'll be able to celebrate this holiday next year. Tim bought me a Mothers Day card which was really sweet. The he surprised me with a donut which really rocked :)

I'm really starting to feel the baby kick and move. Nothing that can be felt from the outside, but he's certainly keeping busy inside. I can't wait for the day that Tim can feel him, he's getting pretty impatient.

When looking at this week's photo don't mind the extremely white stomach. We took the picture on our front porch again because it was pretty nice out. I think i've really grown in the last week or two.

21 Weeks

Look at the belly not the ugly look on my face. I was in a hurry to get a picture taken before Tim left for work and so I had no time to dry my hair.

So here I am at 21 weeks. Last week we had our 20 week appointment. We discussed the results from the big u/s. The baby is measuring right on schedule. He weighed 9 oz at the time, but I'm sure has grown since then. He is in the 33 percentile. He had a heartbeat of 129, which I thought was low, but the docter said anything between 120 and 160 was good. He must have been taking a nap at the time.

Heartburn has kicked in again. It usually takes about 7 tums for it to go away. Our crib should be here in about 3 weeks. My big obsticle right now is finding bedding. I've found the bedding that I absolutely love, but it's super expensive. I'm hoping to find someone who can custom make it for cheaper.
