Keegan got to meet a lot of new people on Thanksgiving day, which meant not a lot of sleep. When he did finally fall asleep...he crashed for about 3.5 hours. With having 2 children now, holidays are a bit more chaotic. I had to fix Kellan's plate and help him eat, then fix my plate, all while Tim fed Keegan and then had his turn to eat. It's sad to say that I don't think Tim and I will be eating at the same time during holidays for awhile. All and all the food was great and now it's time to get back to watching what I eat.

Fighting a cough

Ever since Kellan got RSV when he was just 6 months old, he has always had a really raspy voice hard cough. Our pediatrician recommended we put him back on the nebulizer. We thought we would try the fun fish mask to feed the medication into his system....boy were we wrong.

He was not feeling that at all. After bribing him with fruit snacks and Mickey Mouse he finally settled down. Hopefully he will continue to get better.

I can't forget about Keegan. He is almost 6 weeks already, which means I only have a little over 6 weeks of maternity left...tear.

I can't believe it's Halloween already. That just means we are that much closer to Christmas...YIKES!

This year was so much fun trick or treating with Kellan. He did a great job ringing the door bells, saying trick or treat and thank you as well. He just loved digging in the bowls to grab his own candy.

Kellan was a spider this year. Here he is with just the hat on. It took lots of convincing to get the costume on for the first time. Thank goodness we did a few trial runs that morning.

I think I may cry...next year I'll be 30 (gasp)!! Well I had my 29th birthday this past Saturday and we celebrated in the Dells. We started the morning out at a pumpkin patch. Kellan got to pet some kitties.

We had a nice lunch after the pumpkin patch, hit up the outlet mall and walked around downtown. Overall, it was a great birthday and a great way to spend one of the last weekends as a family of 3.

So a little over a week ago I threw Tim a surprise 30th birthday party and he was actually surprised. A friend of mine and I decided to do the party as a joint party with my husband and his wife. His wife will be 31 next month, but couldn't really celebrate her 30th birthday because it was right around when her daughter was born. They each thought the party was for each other so when they arrived and saw their co workers, friends and family they were totally shocked that the party for actually for them. It was so cool to know that I actually pulled off a great surprise.

That's right, I'm getting induced. My last day of work is Oct 11 and on Oct 13th I make my way back to the hospital for number 2. My actual due date is Oct 20th, but due to the gestational diabetes I have developed and the fact that I also got preeclampsia last time, my doctor thought it would be a good idea to go a bit early. So the countdown is on and I'm so ready and excited and anxious. I'm going to be a mom of 2!!!

Kellan's 2nd birthday / Party

So my sweet baby boy actually turned 2 on August 31st. Where did the last 2 years of our lives go and how can I be the mother to a toddler already? I'm so proud to have such a wonderful son in my life and really enjoyed sharing his birthday with him. On his actual birthday, we took some time and went to the park. Unfortunately I only got 1 picture at the park and here it is.

Later that night we went out to dinner with Tim's family to celebrate not only Kellan's birthday, but Tim's grandma's birthday too.

Kellan got some birthday presents, mostly Mickey Mouse, which he loves. Here he is sporting his new Mickey backpack.

Visit from God Mama Val

Yeah for visits from Val!! Kellan's God Mama was in town a couple of weeks ago from Tennessee. She made a special trip to come see all of us and drop off Kellan's birthday gift. She got him a really sweet Wisconsin jersey and an Aqua Doodle!!! Best part about the Aqua Doodle is that the markers only write on the mat it comes with. It won't work on the carpet, counters or wall....love it!!! It was so nice to see Kellan run over to Val because he hasn't been able to see her much lately. Plus it was great seeing my good friend again.

Preview of the Big Boy Room

About a week ago we started Kellan in his new room. You'll see from the pictures that he has a sports themed room (football, basketball, baseball). I'm so impressed with how he is doing in his room. The first 2 nights we layed on the floor next to him until he fell asleep and then after that we would should the door and he would just fall asleep. We keep the gate up and open the door once we go to bed so that if / when he gets up in the middle of the night he can't roam around the house.

Gestational Diabetes

Never thought I would get it. My 3 hour test yesterday didn't go as well as I hoped, so tomorrow I am meeting with a dietitian to come up with a diet/meal plan. Hopefully by doing this I will be able to manage my glucose and not have to take insulin. Not going to lie, pretty freaked out. I don't want anything to happen to baby boy or myself. I was told I won't go past 39 weeks in fear of having a large baby. I thought 7lb 4oz was big for Kellan, so anything much bigger is going to hurt a lot more!!!

I failed my glucose test again. I failed it with Kellan and had to take the 3 hour test and then passed. This time my count was a lot higher and I fear that I may have developed diabetes. I take the 3 hour test tomorrow. It's my own fault though because I've been shoving sugar in my mouth like it's in short supply and I'm never getting it again. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Since Tim has been doing some traveling for work I've been trying to keep Kellan busy. There is only so much basketball you can play and Mickey Mouse that you can watch. So tonight, we went down to the river and fed the ducks. Kellan loves throwing pieces of bread at the ducks and watching them chase after it. The only scary thing is that there are geese down there too and they can be pretty nasty. All of the hissing and chasing they do freaks me out.

After feeding the ducks we went to a local pizza shop for dinner. I had the pepperoni while Kellan had the macaroni & cheese.

Last few weeks

Kellan had a date a few weeks ago with Ava. Here they are enjoying a chocolaty treat. It's been so hot here the past 10 days or so or we've either been spending a lot of time in the pool or in the house by the AC.

When he did make it outside, he got to take a ride with daddy on the lawn mower. He talked about it for 3 days afterwards.

So this picture is a little behind , but here here I am at 25 weeks (I'm actually 27 now). Baby boy is active and loving his sweets. With Kellan I couldn't get enough fruit. Now I'm on the other side and can't get enough chocolate!!!!

I can't believe I'm saying that already. How can my little boy almost be 2 years old already? Since he's so obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, what better than to have his birthday party theme actually be Mickey Mouse. This party will be more low key than his 1st birthday, mostly just family. Mainly because I simply just don't have the energy to host a big get together.

We finally had a long weekend with beautiful weather. I'm talking low to mid 80's and pure sunshine. Such great weather to be able to spend up at the lake. We got Kellan his own fishing pole and new life jacket (he outgrew last year's already).

Kellan really likes to help Grandpa Birddog drive the boat.

Since the water directly by the dock isn't the cleanest, not ever close, we brought Kellan's pool for him to cool down in. Mommy forgot his trucks, but some how mananged to remember water diapers.

Oh and this brave little guy decided to jump off of the boat while it was moving.

In my last post I was looking for a few things: diaper bag, mattress and decoration ideas for Kellan's new room. Well I got one thing accomplished, the diaper bag. It's a Tiffany Tote Set and is super cute. I couldn't resist when I saw this on amazon.com. As much as I love my other diaper bag, it got so much use that the zipper broke and there are nasty stains all over it. (Thanks Chris & Ashlee for that bag though :) Should arrive on Monday or Tuesday!!! Now if I could just get the motivation for Kellan's room....

On the hunt

I'm in the process of looking for a few new things for both Kellan and the new baby to come. We just got a toddler bed for Kellan and are hoping to start on his new room soon.I'm thinking we are going to do a sports theme in his room since he just loves baseball, football, golf .....and the list goes on and on. If anyone has any design ideas please let me know.

I'm also looking for a new diaper bag because ours is shot. The zipper is broke and there are water/milk stains all over it.

I'm also looking for a new stroller, double stroller that is and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I've checked out amazon.com and ebay.com and haven't seen much. So again, suggestions welcome.

In the mean time, here is Kellan at Chucky Cheese. This was both his and my first time there. We didn't eat, but did manage to play some games. He put up a major fit when we left though.

Of course you're not going to tell a pregnant lady she looks puffy and fat, she would instantly start balling. I should have a baby bump picture update soon.

Why do you ask? Well because I live in a household of men/boys!! My dog, my husband, my son and baby #2!! That's right, baby number 2 is a BOY!! I was so thinking we were having a girl. I was feeling some what different and my OB thought based on the heartbeat it was a girl as well. I'm not at all disappointed, but shocked. It will be great for Kellan to have a brother. Kellan is excited too. He likes to kiss my belly and point at it and say baby.

Now the question is, do we go for number 3 in hopes to get a girl???

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

So I know I don't update like I should, but I do hope the updates I do provide count for something. On baby news, I find out if we are having little girl or little boy on Monday, June 6th. When I asked my doctor last at our last appointment, he said based on the heart rate, it was a girl. I also called into our local radio station, which does baby checks, and was told I was having a girl as well. While I would love to have a girl and dress her in cute leggings and big hair bows, I think it would be great for Kellan to have a brother. I know Kellan will be a great big brother no matter what though.

Kellan had a blast holding his little cousin over the weekend. I wish I had a picture of him actually holding her, but here he is wanting to lay next to her all of the time.

I'm finally an auntie!! My brother and his wife had their baby girl late April, in fact it was about 2 hours before Easter Day. She is absolutely beautiful and just so sweet. Plus Kellan finally has a cousin!! We went to go visit the new mommy, daddy and baby Kenley on Easter Sunday and here are some of the pictures of the new beauty.

We headed over to our neighbors house this afternoon for a fun little Easter egg hunt. It was just Kellan and his friend Chase and they did a really good job looking for the eggs. Crazy how much Kellan has changed from last Easter. From barely crawling to full out sprints. I love him to much.

We went to my parent's house last weekend to celebrate Easter on my dad's side of the family. Kellan got to find his first basket for the year and meet the Easter Bunny. One was definitely more successful than the other. I'll let you guess which one.

On baby news, I've been feeling better. For some reason I seem to be very bloated all of the time, especially at night. I still go to bed before 9pm every night. Hoping my energy is near by. I'm already sporting some maternity clothes, tops only. Pants still fit, but are becoming somewhat snug. I'm ok with it though because they say you always pop sooner with your 2nd.

I really bonded with a girl at work and we have been starting to hang out outside of work as well. This past weekend we decided to take our kids to the Children's Museum. Kellan has been there many many times, but this was Ella's first time and she had a blast! It's so nice for Kellan to get together with kids his age as well (Ella is 3 months younger than Kellan).

Finished Basement....Finally!

We've been busy. The basement is finally finished, minus some decorating. Here is a picture of the pine wall (we got a great deal on the wood from a family friend)

This room is technically an office, but right now it will be a play room for all of Kellan's toys.

This is the view as you walk down the steps and turn the corner. That's a 50 inch tv that Tim HAD to have.

This is the bar area. We would eventually like to fit a pool table down there. Oh and we've since added bar stools which are pictured.

Furniture is from Ashley, extremely comfortable.

So, that has consumed much of our time. Usually while Tim was working downstairs, I was upstairs trying to occupy my little guy.

Valentine Project

So I accomplished my first Valentine's Day treat for Kellan's daycare friends. I did my own version of a trail mix. I took chex mix, chocolate teddy grahams, chocolate chip teddy grahams, Goldfish pretzels and M&M's and mixed them on top of saran wrap.

Then I tied it with red ribbon and attached a Mickey Mouse Valentine card

18 bags later and I'm done.

I'm writing this during the Bachelor so I apologize for the short post. I thought I'de give a quick update on Kellan at 17 months.

*Runs constantly
*Says words like: mama, dadda, book, ball, woof woof, baaa (for sheep), nana (grandma) yo yo (Hugo), yes, no, more, potty, na night oh and many more that just aren't coming to me.
*27 lbs
*Still takes a nook at night time (hoping to change that very soon)
*Loves to read....all of the time!
*Goes to bed around 7pm and wakes up anywhere from 5:30 - 6:30am. I know it's early, but Tim and I are up at 5:15 every day so it's not too bad.
*Knows where his nose, ears, fingers, mouth, and toes are.

We had my parents and brother in town Friday to help with the basement. The goal was to get the tongue and groove on the wall and start the bar and that is exactly what happened. I don't have a lot of pictures or even really good pictures, but here how we spent Friday.

Superbowl Baby!!

The Packers are heading to the Superbowl!! Kellan cheered on the Packers Sunday with the rest of Wisconsin. He may have needed a few breaks every now and then with the hamper, but he had fun rooting them on.

On a side note, the basement is coming along. Tim was busy painting all weekend (which I'll have pictures soon). My parents and brother are coming up on Friday to start installing the tongue and grove and maybe some doors. It's really coming along. Can't wait for all of hat extra space.

That had to be what Kellan was thinking today as he explored this amazing place. This museum has EVERYTHING!! Books, paints, trampolines, slides, rock climbing, and legos are just a few things to name. The best part is, we get in free because of Tim's job. (otherwise it's $5). I hate making decisions

We starting finishing our basement about a year ago. We didn't do much at first besides some framing and wiring. However, in the last few weeks we've really progressed. The drywall is up and the taping and mudding have begun. So now it's time to get serious with the decision making. Here are the things I have no idea what to do with:

*Color of walls, carpet and counter tops
*How big should the bar be
*What type of flooring do we put behind the bar and in the office - wood or tile?

These are just a few that are running through my mind. I have a few pictures of how the basement currently looks. We need to finish is asap because we are running out of room for all of Kellan's toys.

Kellan got to meet Santa for the 2nd time this weekend. Tim's work holds a Christmas party for the kids every year. All you have to do is buy a $20 gift and they reimburse you. Pretty nice huh?

It's Winter Time!!

Our little monster has become quite the climber lately. One of his current favorite things to do is climb up on the chair and sit and relax. Sometimes he'll sit there and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, other times he'll sit there waiting for us to find him. Either way, he looks so adorable sitting there.

We got snow for the first time about 2 weeks ago, but nothing significant. Then about 2 days ago we got a little bit more, so we decided to let Kellan hang outside with daddy while he shovelled the driveway.

I certainly hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Kellan's 2nd Thanksgiving was good. He wasn't really into the turkey, mashed potatoes or stuffing, but he did enjoy some pumpkin pie and whipped cream.

It's hard to tell from this picture of Kellan, but it was so cute, he kept putting his hands in his pockets of his vest and looked so cute. He loved that vest and wanted to wear it even over his camo jammies.

The night before Thanksgiving my high school besties and I did our annual gathering. I love that I've been out of high school for 9 years and every time we get together it's like we've never been apart.

Yep. That's why I have been neglecting this sight. My new job keeps me EXTREMELY busy. I'm in my second week and am already doing overtime. I really like my new job, it's just really stressful so I find myself needing to go to bed right after Kellan goes down.

I really miss all of the ladies I used to work with, but my boss was a complete jerk and we clashed in every way.

So since I'm working in a different town, that means different daycare for Kellan. It's not going so well so far. The day he was suppose to start he got pink eye (in both eyes) so he missed his first day.

Pumpkin Picking

Last weekend we finally got around to getting our pumpkins. We went with some good friends of ours who are actually due with their 2nd child in 10 days. What a trooper she was stomping around the field to find that perfect pumpkin. The weather has been so great for October in Wisconsin. It reached 80 degrees that day.

First Haircut

I was so proud to be Kellan's Mommy today during his haircut. He sat like such a nice boy just looking and pointing in the mirror at himself. It was only about a 6 minute trim. On a side note. We had a good friend get hit by a car last weekend. They had to amputate his left leg and now we just found out that they took his right leg tonight. I know many of you don't know him, but please keep him in your prayers.

Kellan took a nasty dig the other day at daycare. He smacked his face right on the corner of the rocking chair. I was told he was pretty brave though and didn't cry to hard.

I still can't get over that. Where has this year gone? It seems like I blinked my eyes and now he's one. Some big milestones happened in the past 2 days. It's like he knew he was turning one because he started walking.....that's right. He takes up to 7,8,9 steps at a time. He's still a little wobbly, but I can't believe it. His favorite word to say is hot dog. It kind of sounds like ot doooogggg, but it's so cute. Here are some pictures of his 1st birthday.

First Fair

Kellan and I headed back home to my parents for the weekend for the annual fair. Tim had a golf outing so wasn't able to join us. Kellan had many firsts this weekend. First cheesecurd (remember I live in Wisconsin), first 5K,first fair ride and first parade. He was such a good boy too for everything.

Some of my friends and I did a 5K Saturday morning. Don't get confused by that statement either...I am not a runner, never have been and never will be. So we walked, but at a fast pace.

Kellan's Birthday Party

Before I start with his party here are a couple of other things going on with Kellan.

He found that toilet paper is his friend.

I've been brushing his teeth with my finger for about a month now, but when I was at the dentist last week they gave me a brush for Kellan. He does pretty well with it.

Now onto the party. My mom and dad came into town the night before to help with Kellan and food. We spent all morning making food and setting up tables. Kellan had a good nap that morning, but no nap that afternoon so I was unsure how he would be. He had his moments.

Overall, the party was a success. He didn't want much to do with his gifts either. Tim and I were exausted after the day, but know that Kellan had a great time. Hard to believe my baby boy is just about 1.

First off, let me explain that I am not really that crafty, but I do like to try new ideas when I see them. I got this great idea from Mrs. Foreste to make wreaths with tissue paper. Then I painted a #1 and hung it in the middle. I've only done one so far, not sure if I'll try a second one. I plan on hanging this on the door just as she did.

A co-worker of mine made these custom labels for waterbottles for her one year old daughter so I thought I would try it. I printed them all on the computer and used clear packaging tape to stick them on.

I've done more, but don't have time before work to upload the pictures. After Kellan's party I'll be sure to go more into detail.

Kellan has been so curious lately. Whenever or where ever we put him down he has to move. So when we put him down on the driveway he starts booking it, scraping his feet along the way. A scrape turned into bleeding which led to his band aid. He didn't like it so I got a few shots of him with it before he peeled it off.

Plans are really coming together for Kellan's 1st birthday in 2 weeks. I don't know how many people read this blog so if you are interested in seeing what I've done so far for his party let me know and I'll put some pictures.

Nothing new is really going on right now. We finally spent a weekend at home last weekend for the first time in over a month. Tim was in the Channel 7 Golf outing and ended up winning the B Flight. Here he is with his trophy.

We've been borrowing my parents boat since the 4th of July and finally were able to get out and enjoy it. Here is Tim and Kellan with one of our neighbors.

Yesterday Tim and I went to a Brewer baseball game with my parents. We were on the 3rd baseline, 5 rows up. :) The Brewers won so it was a great time.

We caught 3 balls during the Brew Crew's batting practice.

Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! We spent most of our weekend outside at the cabin. We didn't bring any sparklers or fireworks near Kellan in fear of him reaching for them or them scaring him. Next year will be different.

I broke down at got the denim diapers too. He loved modeling them for me.

On a different subject.....who saw Eclipse? OMG, I am in love all over again with Edward. Don't get me wrong though, I would totally take Jake too, but something about Edwards lips and jawline just drive me crazy. In my opinion this was the best of the 3 and I can't wait for Breaking Dawn to come out.

Kellan hates swimming

I don't know if the water is to cold or the loud noise of the water fountain scares him, but he's not a fan of swimming. He loves his baths so I can't understand where the problem is. I determined to keep at it though and hope he comes around. We tried again this last weekend, but failed. Perhaps this weekend will be better. In the mean time here he is in his water gear.

We also had some college friends visit. We got a babysitter and hit the town.

Trip to Indy

Kellan had his first airplane right this past weekend. We took a much needed trip to Indiana to visit some friends of ours. They have a little boy who is about 19 months so him and Kellan had a great time meeting each other and playing.

Let me tell you how proud of Kellan I am . He flew like a champ. Many people complimented us on what a well behaved boy he was. I'm sure many people get nervous when they find out they will be sitting next to a baby, but they got lucky.

We gave him a bottle at each take off and he seemed to have no problems. Honestly the worst part about taking a baby is going through the check points. You need to take everything out of the bags and they test things like fluids and formula. We even had to take kellan's sandles off...like he's smuggling drugs in there.

Over Memorial Day weekend we brought Kellan up to my parents cabin for the first time. He is crawling now, so he was all over the place. Unfortunately his sleeping schedule was thrown out the window once we arrived. He wouldn't nap or sleep at night. Tim actually had to put him in the car and drive around just so he would get some rest. When he wasn't super sleep deprived he did have fun on the boat.

I'm a bit behind...who am I kidding, I'm way behind. Mother's day was amazing. Kellan got me this beautiful purse with matching wallet. (he must really love his mama)

Kellan now has 4 teeth. His top two started breaking through. They don't really seem to bother him much which is a plus.

With the weather finally warming up Kellan is able to wear shorts. Here are a few shots of his cute little legs.

We plan on going to my parents cabin on the lake for Memorial Day weekend. Of course there will be boating so we had to get Kellan a life jacket. Not so sure he thrilled about it yet.

Yeah me, I know. No excuses, I just don't want to take the time to sit down and blog. However, Tim is gone this week and Kellan went to bed at 7:00 tonight so I have no reason not to catch you all up.

Kellan had is first birthday party a few weeks ago. His "wife", Ave turned one and here they are.

Kellan also transferred over to his big boy car seat. We chose the Graco My Ride 65. We got it on sale at Target for $130. It's like the Cadillac of all car seats. This thing is padded from top to bottom, super roomy and even has not one, but two cut holders. How can you not fall asleep in this?

That's right, Kellan is still fighting RSV. He's a wheezer and a cougher. He might end up having allergies or astma (spelling). He's in really good spirits, just doesn't' sound great.

He had his 6 month check up about 2 weeks ago .He was 19lbs 1 oz and 27 in long. He can officially sit up on his own. He is grabbing at everything (including earrings, noses, necklaces, hair...)

Once a month we get together with my friend and her husband and daughter. She will be 1 in April so she's about 5 months older than Kellan, but that doesn't stop us from saying they will be married later on in life. Here they are finally starting to socialize.

Quite the scare

Mid last week Kellan started getting this deep cough and wheezy breathing. At first I thought it was just a cold, but then it got worse. We decided to take him into the walk in clinic because his pediatrician had no open appointments. Turns out he tested positive for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). What's the treatment....NOTHING! We were told it had to run it's course...WRONG! Three days later we ended back in the walk in clinic because he sounds worse. They took chest x-rays to test for pneumonia - Negative. So they hooked him up to an oxygen machine and it was way low. Poor guys airway was getting blocked (as if their airways aren't small enough). The Dr. comes in and says he needs to be admitted to the hospital. I of course start balling. No time to go home, go straight to the hospital.

We get to the hospital and are transported to the pediatrics floor by wheelchair. Immediately a million questions come my way by multiple nurses. Kellan is stripped down and hooked up to an oxygen machine. Well to end this story, he needed to stay in the hospital two nights. He got sent home with a nebulizer oh and he has his 3rd ear infection. He's doing better, but still has that deep nasty cough.

Where has the time gone?

So much has happened this month. Some good, some bad.

Last week Kellan had his 4 month appointment. He is weighing in at a whopping 16 lbs 12 oz. He's a little over 25 inches too. All went well at that appointment.

Then about a week later, we were back at the doctors office to find out that Kellan had his first ear infection. I knew something was up when he cried throughout most of the night and he had a fever. I actually had to take him out of daycare because of his fever. He's doing much better now.

From this picture you can see that his bib is soaking wet because he has now started teething. There is one tooth coming in on the bottom, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him yet...keeping our fingers crossed.

He's loving solid foods now. He's tried sweet potatoes, carrots, prunes (makes lots of stinky diapers) and green beans. So far he's enjoyed all of them.

One year ago we found out we were having a baby.

One year ago I was never so excited and scared at the same time.

One year ago I had so many questions that needed to be answered.

One year I knew our lives would never be the same.

We also started Kellan on rice cereal. Day one was very unsuccessful and day two was even worse. However, day three (today) he finished his entire bowl of cereal. The difference was, I took him from his Bumbo to his bouncy chair.

He has his 4th month appt Jan 14 and I'm very curious to know what he weighs. Those cheeks of his sure are looking full :)

What a great first Christmas

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. We spend all of this time shopping, decorating and baking and now it's another year away. We did the whole travelling Christmas again. The first half was spent with Tim's family while the second half was spent with mine.

I got lots of great things for Christmas, but by far the best thing I got was my gift from Tim and Kellan. It is a silver necklace with a figure in the shape of a mom and her child and it has Kellan's birthstone in it. It's so thoughtful and beautiful.

Kellan got lots of clothes and toys. I had to remove some of his old clothes from his closet to fit his new ones.

So I've been getting scolded....yet again....for not updating my blog. I hope this finds everyone ready and excited for Thanksgiving. My mom gave Kellan a super cute Baby's First Thanksgiving outfit that he'll be sporting on Thursday. Can't wait to see him in it.

Seems like lots has happened in the past 3 weeks. I'll try and mention some highlights:

*Kellan got his first experience with pink eye.

*He went in for his 2 month appt at about 10 weeks and weighed 13.6 lbs. He also got his shots this day. After about 10 seconds of blood curdling cries he was back to his happy self.

*He has slept through the night the past 2 nights - this is HUGE!!

*I think he officially hates his carseat - which sucks!

*He's recently discovered TV and will occupy his attention for a few brief minutes every now and then.

Kellan Updates

Seems like a lot has been going on in the past few weeks. Kellan got pink eye last week. Poor little guy. So we took him into the walk in clinic and they gave him an antibacterial prescription. It pretty much cleared up the next day.

He's starting to smile more and I'm finally catching it on camera. Usually when I try to get a picture his smile is gone already. Here is some proof.

Lastly, we celebrated his first Halloween over the weekend. He even got to go trick or treating for the first time. He was a mouse.

Kellan is 7 weeks

Here I am again just letting everyone know that we are all still alive. Seems like I always have something else to do other than blog.

Last week I had my 6 week postpardum appointment. Kellan came along with me and all of the nurses loved holding him while I got examined. Everything checked out well and I'll be seeing Dr. Bell in another year.

In Kellan news, he's growing so fast - he's 7 weeks today. Most of his newborn clothes don't fit anymore, but there are still a few that do. He gave me the best gift a few nights ago and that was 5 straight hours of sleep. It was the most I had slept in a row in 7 weeks. His cheeks are super chubby and his neck is disappearing. He's still the most adorable baby I've seen.

Well shame on me for being the worst blogger ever now. I find it hard to even get on the computer let alone write something. Kellan had his one month appointment on Thursday....one month already wow! His birth weight was 7lbs 4 oz and he's up to 9lbs 10 oz. He's getting to be such a big boy. He was born 20 inches long and now is 22 1/4 inches long. Can't see him being to tall since I'm 5'2 and his dad is 5'9, but we do have some tall grandparents.

Night time still isn't as great as I would like. He's up 2-3 times a night. I just can't wait for the day when he sleeps more than 4 hours during the night.

That's when I get induced. I know crazy right?? Let me explain how it all came about.

On Monday I had my 37 week appointment and they found some protein in my urine. I also had high blood pressure. So they scheduled an appointment for me to get my bp checked on Thursday. Well on Tuesday I decided to go in and get my bp checked just to ease my mind. Turns out it was a whopping 152/115 and stayed that way for 2 hours so I was then admitted to Triage. I was hooked up to all the monitors and lab came to do some tests. Lab results came back fine, but the bp was still high so they put me on a bp medication and sent me on my way. Oh, but not before telling me that I need to do a 24 hour urine sample.

So Thursday comes around and I go for my scheduled bp check - 132/100. Still high, but lower than it was. I called it in to the dr and waited for them to call.

Friday comes and around 2 pm the nurse finally calls me back and tells me that my 24 hr urine sample came back with protein in it and that I would need to be induced. So Sunday at 7 pm my husband and I will be checking into the Birthing Center preparing for the arrival of our son.

We're both extremely excited and scared at the same time. I can only pray that things go well and that we'll all be safe.

Full Term

That's right, I'm officially considered full term now that I've reached 37 weeks. Never thought this day would come, but here we are just waiting for Baby C to make his arrival - which he is welcome to come any day now.

Had my last shower on Sunday. It was held outside on a beautiful day. The lovely ladies who threw my shower did such a great job. They had all of my favorite foods and incorporated the nursery colors into the theme. Here I am with all of my gifts.

36 Weeks and Mom's Baby Shower

What a great weekend we just had at my parent's house. Tim spent most of the time dry walling my brother's house, while I got to open presents. My mom and sister-in-law threw an absolutely wonderful shower for me this past weekend. It was nice to see the colors of our nursery throughout the shower (blue, lime green and black). There was plenty of food to eat and I got to see my high school friends and family. Thanks again to my mom and Kristen for throwing me a great shower. I truly appreciate it and know Baby C will love everything.

Well I reached another milestone. I've passed the 35 weeks along and 35 days left. Just over a month left. This last month is going to be tough. It's getting hotter out, I'm getting bigger, and we're all getting anxious. My co-workers are throwing me a shower on Tuesday and then I have another on Sunday and the following Sunday. I'm excited for the nursery to fill up.

I've really been trying to get in as much sleep as possible. Weekdays I usually go to bed by 9:00pm and on weekends I usually sleep in until 8:00 or 9:00am. Everyone keeps telling me sleep while you can so that's what I'm doing.

Next week - I reach 9 months!!!

I really do have a 34 week picture ready to post, just haven't had the time to put the picture on my computer yet....I'm sorry.

Well August is here now and we can finally say that we will have a baby next month...holy crap! I have 3 showers in the next 2 weeks that I'm super excited for. I can't wait to fill up the nursery with all of the cute baby gifts.

As for our little guy people have been saying to me that it looks like he has dropped so that's a good thing. He's making his way down to meet us. When we go see the doctor or Thursday we plan on discussing with him how we want this birth to go. Basically we just want him to know that if it's not an emergency we don't want a c-section. I too am hoping that I go into labor naturally and don't' need to be induced. Only time will tell though.

Losing my energy

I don't know if it's the 5:00 a.m. walks or just the fact that I'm walking around with 20 extra lbs, but man am I tired. My new bedtime is officially before 9:00 pm. Lame huh??

At least the swelling has gone down in my feet. My wedding band continues to be tight, but I'm determined to wear it this entire pregnancy.

Side note: only 2 more weeks until my first baby shower...I'm so excited!!
